Interactive Figures in Jmol

Welcome! Here are a few examples of Jmol renderings of published figures. Links to the paper and to the original figure are provided for your convenience.

These examples are taken from Figure 2 of "Structure of the cross-beta spine of amyloid-like fibrils", R. Nelson et al., Nature 435, 773-778 (9 June 2005).   View this paper (requires subscritption).     View Figure 2 in Nature.

Notes:

There are a few relatively minor differences between the Jmol figures and the 2-D figures in Nature. The differences are mostly intentional, since measures that are taken for clarity in 2D become unnecessary when one can rotate a structure in 3D. Others would require additional time. Both types of differences are detailed in links from each figure. View all notes.
